Forks on Thames requests access to your device's location (coarse or fine) solely to display your position on the live map, calculate real-time distances to nearby venues, and determine which of our predefined geographic zones (e.g., Richmond Row, Downtown Core) you are currently exploring. This powers zone-specific filtering and notifications.
All location-based processing happens entirely on your device. Your location data is NEVER transmitted to our servers. We have absolutely no idea where you are at any given time, and your coordinates are never passed to us, stored, or linked to your identity in any way.
All public features, including live maps, venue information, and safety reporting, are available completely anonymously. You do not need to create an account or provide any identifying information to use Forks on Thames. Any safety pins you drop are submitted without IP addresses or user identifiers.
Accounts and login capabilities are restricted entirely to internal administrators, civic responders, and vetted venue managers. The general public is explicitly prevented from logging in or having personal profiles on this platform.
We do not sell data because we do not have it. Forks on Thames is built to be a public utility, free forever, prioritizing your safety and absolute anonymity above all else.
